How Girls Confidence Camp Started

Girls Confidence Camp began in the most unexpected place, inside a beauty salon.

When our founder, Ms. Acacia owned her salon, she noticed something that stayed with her: young girls came in curious, eager, and wanting to help. One summer, Ms. Acacia decided to turn that moment into something bigger.

What was supposed to be a small, one-time summer activity quickly revealed something important: girls needed this.They needed a space to talk, to learn, to feel supported, to be around women who looked like them and believed in them.

That first summer experience sparked what would become Girls Confidence Camp, a program rooted in care, mentorship, and community.
